Situated on the shores of Belfast Lough in Northern Ireland, The Whitewell Metropolitan Church reported to be the largest church in the UK if not Europe, can seat 3000 people with an additional hall to seat a further 1500. In addition to this it has a comprehensive administration department, cafeteria and many additional rooms for special functions. Also a sport’s hall with a workout and fitness centre has recently been built close to the church. EnergoStrip heaters have been used to heat all the premises with a total heating load of 550 kW and NIE (Northern Ireland Electricity) has been deeply involved advising the church on heating systems and energy efficiency. “They have installed a unique heating system from Sweden called EnergoStrip which works on long wave radiation. I have seen this system working and I have been very impressed” -Mark Walsh, Industrial Sales Engineer, NIE. |
